About Lydia
Lydia Renty, the lady behind the brand, is a stylish woman who loves fashion and truly appreciates the quality, beauty and creation of wedding gowns.
Lydia graduated as a professional dressmaker in 1999. She began working as a freelance dressmaker in West London in 2004 working from home. Her interest in bridal wear started in 2009, the year after Lydia moved from London to Somerset with her family, when she began working from her home studio, designing and making gowns and dresses for customers in the surrounding area and advertising in the local press.
The Lydia Couture brand was born in 2011 and has been recognised as a brand of excellence ever since. Lydia has built her business from the start through care of her customers and the pursuit of style and elegance in all her designs.
She opened her first store in Bristol 2014 and started selling her own collection, and attracted many brides, mother of the brides and bridesmaids who travelled from a distance to buy their dresses from her store.
In 2017 Lydia had to make the tough decision to close her store to allow her more time to focus on her designing and develop her business. By following this path Lydia has been able to achieve recognition as a couture designer in the bridal industry, in order to supply to bridal boutiques throughout the UK. Lydia currently has three bridal collections and we are now a wholesale supplier.

I would highly recommend Lydia Couture! The customer service was amazing and Lydia went out of her way to make sure my dress was perfect. Some alterations done by a member of staff were not quite correct, so Lydia stayed late and done them herself to ensure it was right. My dress was gorgeous and of a high quality.
